IRCC is re-opening the PGP on 13th and giving opportunities to all Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and registered First Nations to sponsor their parents and grandparents and is ready to welcome them to Canada with open arms. Since the world was hit with the news about the pandemic that did not take long to travel from Wuhan to the whole world, everyone has undergone changes in their lives. The last thing anyone would want to worry about is family and hence IRCC has come up with a random selection process and is introducing this far and square process.
ABOUT THE PROCESS:
There are three main steps,
1. Applications will be accepted from 12 pm EST on 13th October till 12pm EST on November 3rd.
2.The selection process is through a random draw and the applicants selected will receive an invitation to apply.
3.After the invitation is issued , applicants will have 30 days to submit all required documents and complete and submit the application to IRCC.
WHO CAN SPONSOR THEIR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS:
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and registered First Nations will be able to sponsor their families. They have to be 18 years of age and meet the necessary income requirements to show that they can financially support the person(s) being sponsored. Talking of Income, The government is reducing Income requirements for the 2020 tax year, It is no secret that people have lost jobs, have had losses financially and hence have reduced the income requirement to necessary minimum income rather than necessary income plus 30%.
If you are willing to apply and sponsor your families than do not waste time, contact us today for more details about the re-opening of the program or any other queries.
