While the world is going through a pandemic and lifestyles of everyone around the globe are altered, there are changes that are made to immigration systems everyday as well. One such change made recently is that Alberta released details about the change in the CRS score required to be eligible for a provincial nomination through the Alberta express entry stream. The recent cut off is 300 for Alberta PNP. The prerequisite required for the invited candidates is to have a profile in the federal express entry system already. A provincial nominee is also awarded an additional 600 CRS points added to their overall score which aids in bringing the candidate to the top of the pool to be selected for subsequent express entry draw. Coronavirus has adversely affected operations at the AINP hence for the time being only candidates from Alberta are receiving invitations.
In order to receive a nomination the :
- Candidate must be working in Alberta
- Must have a work permit that legally allows them to do their job
- The job has to be full time and paid and must exceed LMIA requirements
To this date Alberta has issued 1746 invites to express entry Candidates in 2020 .
